About
Hi, I’m Michael.
My early life was shaped by the same thing I now see in many of the people I work with: not a lack of effort, but a reliance on coping strategies that worked… until they didn’t.
Decades on, as a counsellor, educator, and facilitator, my work has shifted away from helping people “fix problems” toward something more fundamental: understanding how their system is actually working.
What we often call “stress” isn’t just emotional—it’s physiological load. It shows up across the body: in blood pressure, heart rate variability, gut function, sleep, and skin.
It accumulates quietly, shapes perception, and narrows capacity long before we consciously register it. By the time we feel overwhelmed, we’re often responding to the story—not the strain that came first.
My work focuses on separating those layers.
Drawing on somatic practice, nervous system science, and a range of therapeutic approaches, I help people reconnect with their internal signals—not to manage them, but to work with them. When interference drops, the system reorganises naturally.
This is the foundation of what I call WholeLife: not a toolkit for controlling stress, but a way of restoring the conditions under which regulation, clarity, and meaningful change can emerge—as an expression of the intelligence inherent in living systems.
If you’re ready to move beyond managing symptoms and begin restoring capacity, we can start there.
